About the Programme
The Refer & Earn Programme allows eligible individuals to introduce friends, family members, colleagues or business contacts to UIB Wealth for potential financial planning, insurance, investment, retirement or other financial services.
Where the referral meets the Programme requirements and successfully becomes a qualifying UIB Wealth client, the person who made the referral (“Referrer”) may qualify for a referral reward.
Participation in the Programme does not guarantee that the referred person will become a client or that the Referrer will receive a reward.
Eligibility
To participate, the Referrer must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Provide accurate and complete information;
- Submit referrals through an approved UIB Wealth referral channel;
- Have the right or appropriate permission to provide the referred person’s contact information; and
- Comply with these Terms and any applicable laws and regulations.
UIB Wealth reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant from the Programme where we reasonably believe that the Programme has been misused or these Terms have been breached.
Referral Requirements
A referral must:
- Be a genuine prospective client;
- Provide valid contact information;
- Not already be an existing UIB Wealth client; and
- Not already be an active prospect or lead being engaged by UIB Wealth at the time the referral is submitted.
A referral that has previously been submitted by another Referrer may only qualify for one referral reward. Where multiple people refer the same person, UIB Wealth may determine which referral was received first.
Consent and Personal Information
The Referrer must have appropriate permission to submit the referred person’s personal information.
By submitting a referral, the Referrer confirms that, to the best of their knowledge, the referred person has been informed that their details are being shared with UIB Wealth for the purpose of being contacted regarding financial services.
UIB Wealth will process personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
UIB Wealth may contact the referred person using the contact details provided for the purpose of following up on the referral.
Referral Reward
The applicable referral reward will be communicated by UIB Wealth from time to time.
A reward will only become payable where all applicable qualifying conditions have been satisfied.
Unless otherwise stated:
- The referral must be successfully converted into a qualifying UIB Wealth client;
- The referred person must complete the required onboarding or application process;
- Any applicable cooling-off, verification or compliance requirements must be satisfied; and
- The qualifying transaction or service must remain active for the minimum period specified by UIB Wealth.
UIB Wealth reserves the right to verify whether a referral qualifies before issuing a reward.
Payment of Rewards
Where a referral qualifies, UIB Wealth will arrange payment of the applicable reward using the payment method and within the timeframe communicated to the Referrer.
UIB Wealth may request additional information required to process the reward, including identification, banking or payment details.
The Referrer is responsible for providing accurate payment information.
Any taxes, duties or other liabilities arising from receiving a referral reward are the responsibility of the Referrer unless applicable law provides otherwise.
What Does Not Qualify
The following may not qualify for a referral reward:
- Self-referrals;
- Duplicate referrals;
- Referrals submitted with false, misleading or incomplete information;
- Referrals where the person has already been contacted by or is already engaged with UIB Wealth;
- Referrals submitted without appropriate permission;
- Referrals generated through spam, harassment or misleading marketing;
- Referrals generated through fraudulent or unlawful activity; or
- Referrals that otherwise breach these Terms.
No Guarantee of Financial Services
Submitting a referral does not guarantee that UIB Wealth will provide financial advice, insurance, investment products or any other service to the referred person.
Any financial product or service will be subject to the applicable application, suitability, underwriting, compliance, regulatory and approval processes.
The referred person remains free to decide whether to engage UIB Wealth or purchase any product or service.
No Financial Advice to Referrers
Participation in the Refer & Earn Programme does not constitute financial advice.
Referrers should not provide financial advice on behalf of UIB Wealth or make promises, representations or guarantees regarding the performance, suitability or benefits of any financial product or service.
Only appropriately authorised representatives of UIB Wealth may provide financial advice or recommendations on behalf of UIB Wealth.
Prohibited Conduct
Participants may not:
- Misrepresent themselves as UIB Wealth employees or representatives;
- Make false claims about UIB Wealth or its products;
- Promise a specific investment return or financial outcome;
- Use deceptive advertising or marketing;
- Submit referrals without appropriate permission;
- Attempt to manipulate the Programme or referral records;
- Submit fabricated or fictitious referrals; or
- Engage in any activity that could damage the reputation of UIB Wealth.
Programme Changes
UIB Wealth reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Refer & Earn Programme at any time.
Changes may include changes to:
- Eligibility requirements;
- Referral rewards;
- Qualifying conditions;
- Payment methods;
- Programme periods; or
- These Terms and Conditions.
Changes will apply from the date communicated or published by UIB Wealth, unless otherwise stated.
Fraud and Misuse
UIB Wealth may investigate referrals where fraud, abuse, manipulation or other improper conduct is suspected.
Where a referral reward was obtained through fraud, deception, inaccurate information or a breach of these Terms, UIB Wealth may withhold, cancel or recover the reward.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, UIB Wealth will not be liable for losses arising from:
- Incorrect information submitted by a Referrer;
- Failure of a referral to become a client;
- Delays caused by incomplete information;
- Technical issues affecting referral submission; or
- Circumstances outside UIB Wealth’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Privacy
UIB Wealth takes the protection of personal information seriously.
Personal information submitted through the Programme may be used to:
- Process and manage referrals;
- Contact referred individuals;
- Assess potential financial-service needs;
- Manage referral rewards;
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations; and
- Maintain appropriate business and compliance records.

Regulatory Compliance
The Programme is intended to operate in accordance with applicable Namibian laws and regulatory requirements.
UIB Wealth reserves the right to amend or suspend any aspect of the Programme where necessary to ensure regulatory or legal compliance.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Namibia.
Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the applicable jurisdiction of the courts of Namibia.
